Saturday 19th September 2009 – Austria
This part of Switzerland is known as the sunniest part, it is the part that gets most sun throughout the year. It lived up to its reputation when I arrived yesterday, as it was the hottest day for me so far on this part of my journey. I was hoping it would stay that way.

Friday 18th September 2009 – Switzerland
Its quite easy to see why I like Switzerland so much. Its friendly approach to people, its willingness to help, and what it has to offer in terms of attractions and sights, and scenery from out of this world, I could easily fall in love with the place. The people here are very beautiful as well.

Thursday 17th September 2009 – Switzerland
After my best night sleep so far, I showered and made my way down to the breakfast hall where the hustle and bustle was in full swing again. It didn’t take long to eat what I needed and down a cup of coffee. I was excited today to be leaving France and heading for Switzerland.

Wednesday 16th September 2009 – France
I started the day with breakfast which was included, and checked out. The bus stop was only around the corner from the hostel so it wasn’t far to lug my gear. While waiting I spoke to one of the girls who was also waiting for the bus, and was also at the previous hostel that I was in. I was ready to leave Luxembourg now, and move on to other places.

Tuesday 15th September 2009 – Luxembourg
Today was a bit of a sit around day. I only had two objectives today. One was to buy a rail ticket for tomorrow, the other was to get to the other hostel in Luxembourg. Would it pan out as I hoped it would though?..

Monday 14th September 2009 – Luxembourg
At around 5:30 this morning people started to get up in the dorm room, one after the other. The clattering of cases, the rustling of bags and the constant sound of zips on cases, as well as the odd item dropped onto the hard floor every now and then, all ensured that I didn’t get back to sleep again. So effectively I woke at 5:30. At 8:00 I got up properly, showered and had breakfast, after which I set out to see the sights.

Sunday 13th September 2009 – Luxembourg
I woke and had breakfast, and packed up to leave, while the French guys got their beauty sleep. I had to check out at 9:30 again here so I was left with a morning to kill before setting off on the train to Luxembourg.

Saturday 12th September 2009 – Germany
Today began with me waking up, which was a first for this trip I think, as usually I’m already awake, having not slept at all. I had a great night in my double room all to myself, no noise, and plenty of rest. I slept from 10pm until 8am on and off, and it was a well needed rest. I needed to get up now though.

Friday 11th September 2009 – Germany
I had breakfast with Alex this morning and we left the hostel together to go to the main square again. We both wanted to get souvenirs before leaving. So we did.

Thursday 10th September 2009 – Belgium
After the long walk of yesterday, and another sleepless night listening to snoring all night, I was feeling very tired and ached from head to toe, literally.
