Today was full of frustration, from the small, one-way streets of Carcassonne to the useless information place in Montpellier. Not my finest day.
My first stop was La Cite in Carcassonne, the castle that influenced that used in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.
The Beaches in Biarritz were very rough today due to the bad weather, so there was no surfing happening, much to my disappointment.
After surviving a stormy night in my little tent, i headed for the surfing capital of Europe, Biarritz, to check out the beaches.
My poor sat-nav-reading skills eventually got me to La Rochelle, and the rain began to fall, steadily at first, then…
I left Dave in Honfleur and set off for the picturesque Mont St-Michel, and i wasn’t disappointed.
We took a trip into Honfleur harbour and enjoyed the Bastille Day celebrations, with fireworks flying off in all directions. It was great fun.
So here it is. Seemed like it took forever to come around, yet as the day approached, it was upon me before i knew it
