Friday 4th February – Newcastle, Australia
It was a usual night of not much sleep, largely because of the heat, but now with the inclusion of a snoring guy on the bed beneath me. He thrashed about all night in his sleep, rocking my top bunk bed back and forth. No matter how many times I attempted to wake him, he always returned to the thrashing and snoring. Wednesday 2nd February – Newcastle, Australia

Tuesday 1st February – Newcastle, Australia
A new location awaited me today and there was a feeling of great anticipation inside of me. I wasn’t bored of Sydney, not by a long way, but I was interested in seeing a different side to Australia, a side that I had always hoped Australia would be like. I wanted to see beaches and smaller towns, and to get a glimpse of the laid back lifestyle. I hoped Newcastle would be like this.
When you are planning your next trip, you might decide to splash out a bit and choose a destination that might be far greater in distance than you have ever travelled before. You might be thinking it’s about time you saw more of the world, or possibly you have relatives that you want to visit. But if there is the prospect of a long haul flight, for many people this is a huge hurdle.
Just a quick note to let you all know what’s been happening of late. Aside from all the continual hard work on the site, it is actually a good day today for me. The reason: Roundtheworldtrip.org is officially 2 years old today.
