Through the Mountains, Towards Nelson – Day 41

The difference in scenery is quite staggering as I found out in more detail today. I was headed for Nelson – as I had already booked a hostel here for the following night – and the roads that led me there were quite out of this world.

Walking to the Snout in Picton – Day 40

At this point in time I have just travelled from the North Island of New Zealand to the South Island, and my current location is Picton. While here I wanted to take the opportunity to do a little exploring. And that is what today was all about. I just didn’t realise just how much exploring I would eventually end up doing.

Arriving in Picton – Day 39

Today was the ferry crossing from the North to the South Island, and I was quite glad to be escaping from the two cackling girls in the hostel, and to be heading for an altogether different kind of New Zealand – or so I’m told.
