Travel-Related Maintenance Work

22 October 2011 No Comment

I have undergone much needed maintenance work on RoundTheWorldTrip in the past 24 hours, and as such, parts of the site have been down. Thankfully, everything is working as it should be now, but I apologise if a page you were looking for was not there, or turned out to be something you weren’t looking for.

I found the site to be too cluttered, with categories coming out my ears for this, that and the other. I have limited myself to just a few categories now, and I hope this will keep the site looking a little more professional. I have taken a lot of inspiration from other travel blogs that I frequently visit, and feel it was time for a bit of a shake up. I am by no means finished yet, though.

I have added new features to the site, like a dedicated articles section for help, advice and tips on all things travel-related. In time this will grow to be a huge resource of useful information, and a place to share advice with others, as well as myself.

My travel journal is still intact, and will continue to grow week on week, but my picture and video albums need a rework. All in good time, though. I will also be introducing ‘My Life Journey’ soon, detailing how I got to where I am now, and where it all began. It may be of interest, it might not, but at least it will serve as a source of entertainment for those who like a giggle. I would like to think I could inspire others to travel, and to gain in confidence, just like myself. If I can help at least one person get over their fear of travel, then I can feel I have achieved something.

Anyway, this is all in the near future, and there are plenty of good things to come. I hope to see you back here soon, and while I think of it, don’t forget to tell all your friends about this site, spread the love.

Have a great day wherever you are, and I shall be back soon.

p.s. If you find a part of the site that is not responding, or working as it should, drop me a message on the contact form. This definitely is working πŸ™‚
