If twenty minutes a day will lose you half a stone in a year, just imagine what a walking holiday can do for your waistline! Plus all those endorphins and the act of walking every day will help to create the habit of walking more, giving you so much more than just great memories to take with you into every day life.

Walking holidays require transport to get to but once on your walking tour you are not driving or using public transport, saving you money and cutting carbon emissions. Whilst you are exploring an area and taking in its charms you are not consuming and wasting on the same scale that other holidays can encourage. Not only that but being so close to nature, without the barrier of a window, can make you really appreciate it and increase your desire to keep it pristine.

From healthier habits to helping save the planet there are so many reasons to walk more and taking this kind of holiday is not only healthy for your mind and body it is also one of the most pleasurable ways you can spend your break.
